About Gerry McNally

Gerry McNally has worked as a photographer for many of Northern Ireland's biggest music festivals and been published by leading media publications.

Gerry McNally is a well-known Belfast-based photographer with a particular specialty in the coverage of live music events. He is also very happy to have a landscape at the end of his lens and is often found in the hills and mountains of Donegal with a camera in his hand. Work to date has included covering entertainment events for local media including radio station U105, UTV Entertainment, and the Folk and Tumble website. Gerry also works regularly covering events for CQAF in Belfast, including the Out To Lunch Festival and the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival. Other festival work has included Belsonic, Sunflowerfest, Eastside Arts Festival, and Vital.

In 2011 Gerry worked with local author Janice Donnelly and provided the cover photograph for her debut novel ‘Buying Time’.

His experience is extensive and he has photographed internationally established artists such as Iron Maiden, Stereophonics, and The Who, to name just a few. To remain true to his roots, he is regularly seen photographing bands and artists on the Northern Ireland music scene.

Gerry is the Great Nephew of the renowned Irish landscape artist Sam McLarnon.
